Vlore Albania to Kotor Montenegro
 

Hi All, I have been researching the bus lines going from Vlore to Kotor and it looks like we would have to take a couple of different busses and go from Vlore to Tirana to Podgorica and then finally to Kotor. I'm having trouble finding information on the bus lines to book. We will be traveling on a Wednesday, October 29th.
Also, I'm wanting to find out if anyone has rented a car or hired a driver to do this route? Any information would be much appreciated! Laura

I have used drivers from Podgorica to Tirana but not the route you mention. However, drivers are plentiful.

it is a very long journey. If you can take the bus to Tirana or Shkoder and spend a night you would find a private transfer a lot cheaper. Or get to Podgorica with a private transfer and take a bus from there to Kotor.

There are tons of buses/minibuses between:
Vlore - Tirana
Tirana - Shkoder
Shkoder - Hani Hotit border
Hani Hotit border - Podgorica
Piodgorica - Cetinje - Budva
Budva - Kotor
You may also travel via Ulcinj instead of Podgorica.

But do you really not want to visit the gems of Albania?

I got lucky and was referred to an Albanian Driver from my Airbnb host! It’s only going to be a 6 Hour Dr. from Vlore to Kotor. What a relief! And thanks all for the helpful input :-) Laura
