Loveitaly - I think the sandal is just retro enoght that it might make one of our high end catalogs this year! I love the old tire bit! Hey, just because the shoes make you walk wobbly does not mean it is not a sign of high fashion. Look at the Manolo Blahniks(of course made even more fashionable from the hit show - Sex and the City) I cannot imagine walking comfortably in those.
So, my point is - We may see these fashion statement sandals in the Resort Catalog of Neiman Marcus and the like!!!!

I just looked at Sports Illustrated's web page. They are now conducting a nationwide search in Molvania for an ass suitable for the cover. It'll be a tough decision, so many sturdy ones to choose from.

Indie and Marilyn,
Actually I think they have picked the top donkey model for the cover page. Unfortunately they, the planning comittee, were unable to distinguish between male and female donkeys. What with bikinis etc....... well, I leave the rest to your imagination.

annesherrod and the rest of you fashion followers. NEWSFLASH!! Just received a letter from my dear dear, I mean like dearest friend in the whole world, in Molvania.
The big fashion item, get this, in Molvania now is to tie a tree branch to the heel end of the tire sole. Height of the branch depends of course on how often you want to fall "splat" on your face while walking of course.
Idea taken from Internationl Models that have had this problem these past faishon show seasons. What is good for these icons, Idiotacrazy told me is certainly something they want to emulate in Molvania. Of course we all understand that.
Oh, also, Idiotacrazy had the chance to on online. We all know that there is only one computer with an internet connection in Molvania of course but can you actually believe she was invited to spend a few minutes on it. Something she will pass on to her children, grandchildren and anyone that will listen, with open mouth I am sure.
Any, not to get off the subject, Idiotacrazy read a posting here that mentioned someone wore jogging pants made from recycled plastic bottles. She is overwhelmed with joy and excitment. She plans on sneaking out of Molvania every chance she has, scrounging around the adjacent countries for thrown away plastic bottles, smuggling them back into Molvania (which isn't difficult as all 3 boarder guards are always passed out by 11:00pm due to the Molvanian ale they enjoy with their donkey stew.
Now, what Idiotacrazy begs from all of us is the formula, receipe, whatever -- how in heavens name in otherwords -- does she turn these plastic bottles into material to than make these jogging pants?
I assured her that everyone here will jump at the chance to advise her. That is what Fodor's is all about (isn't it?).
So, now it is up to us to help this dear, lovely, confused but forward thinking woman onward to a life of success.
So lets all jump in and do are part.
For me, after reading Idiotacrazy's letter, translating it, sending her a letter (assuring her how wonderful we all are) I think I need to take a break, a sip of wine and a deep breath.
Anyway, even though Idioticacrazy's request isn't exactly a travel question it is a fashion question, and we do answers those too, don't we?
So onward troops, don't let Fodors reputation go down the drain.
