Thanks for the information. I definately enjoy going to museums and these suggestions are perfect for my list.

You'll find Chagall and Picssso in Zurich too. Plus a nice collection of Hodler and Giacometti. I'm a huge fan of the Rosengarten - be sure it has reopened. Every city has a lovely art museum or two. I wouldn't rush out of Zurich unless it's rainy. I'd combine it with Luzern. I also like Bern but not as much.

Enjoy - bring a rain jacket.

There are Chagall windows in the Fraumunster church in Zurich. Certainly worth a visit. Also the Giacometti frescoes in the police station are worth a visit.

I agree that Einselden Abbey is well worth a visit. Beautiful!

And I met the sweetest little girl named Ella at the local gyro shop. She was so cute and shy, hiding behind the counter at first but worked up to joining me at my table while I ate lunch. She was 5 yo and in kindergarten, she told me. Adorable!

Bern is another good daytrip from Zurich with it's clock, fountains, bears, etc.

mokka mentioned both cathedrals in the first response to this thread. the Fraumünster has Chagall windows; both the Fraumünster and the Grossmünster have windows by Augusto Giacometti.
