Visiting Scavi...slow response normal?

I emailed uff.scavi@ fabricsp.va for a reservation 2 weeks ago. I plan to go on October 4th or 5th. Is it normal for them not to reply? I hate to email them too much...they may just toss me from the list...

I notice the some sites charging for tour of the Vatican Necropolis ...is this the same?

thanks

Yes, it is normal. I emailed them on May 23, and finally heard back from them on July 10, giving me the date of my tour and asking me to confirm and send credit card information. I did that, and then 1-2 weeks later got the receipt from them. So, the whole process took about 2 months.

I emailed them on April 2nd for a tour anytime over a period of 5 days in June and received the auto response email from them. But I never heard back. I'd try faxing if I were you

ok, so i took a chance to email again. The next day I got a reply telling me the date I want (about 2 months away) has been filled long time ago so no dice.

Interesting, I got another email, this time an automated one, it got my email and don't submit more than one request. So I am not sure if this is a response to my first email or the latter. Anyways, have anyone tried crashing the tour to see if there are no shows? I guess to do that, you have to know what time the tour is and it seems to vary.

Oh well, I'm glad I tried, albeit invain. I guess you have to reserve WAY in advance.
