Visiting Pompeii? Excellent, detailed article from the NYT

Sent to me yesterday in their weekly travel letter. Wish I'd had it before our trip last year.<BR><BR>http://query.nytimes.com/search/article-page.html?res=9F06E2DB113DF935A25755C0A9649C8B63<B R><BR>Buon viaggio

You should probably mention that you have to "register" in order to read articles on the NY Times web site. And after you do, you will be bombarded with left wing wacko emails. Avoid this site unless you enjoy reading the BS the liberals spew.

Not sure if you need to register to access this URL. I have registered and have never received, much less been bombarded by, anything from the site that I didn't specifically access myself.

Betsy, thanks for recommending this article. I'm going to Rome soon and will be visiting Pompeii, so this was excellent. x, I registered with the NYT online years ago and also have never once received any "left wing wacko emails." I'm very conservative, but still appreciate the NYT.

I have been registered on NY Times for a long time. The articles are well written and no more "left wing wacko" than some of the "right wing wacko" stuff from "Faux News Network."<BR><BR>Sorry for the editorial, not the place for it.
