I am going to visit Barcelona next weekend, can someone recommend to me a hotel in the city ?

what is your budget and do you have a preferred area of the city?

Will you be there alone or do you need a room for 2 or more people?

And for budget a specific amount please - moderate or won't break the bank doesn;t really mean anything.

sure, stay in the NH Calderon on rambla de Catalunya (this is NOT the "ramblas"), it's a very nice modern hotel, excellent location on a street with tons of outdoor eating places in the center, it's a quick walk to metro stops and placa Catalunya, etc. And very reasonably priced for a 4* hotel.

Otherwise, I like the Hotel Jazz which is near placa Catalunya.

I use to stay on the edge of the medieval and vibrant Born/La Ribera district. Excellent part of town in itself and close to "everything".

I can warmly recommend Park Hotel, nothing spectacular but a great value nice place in an excellent location.
