I'm replying to this because I wonder if you people know about reasonable airfares London/St Pete or Ams/St Pete? Have looked at all kinds of websites and come up with only very expensive fares. Any suggestions?

There are many folks on this board who begin/end their journeys in the countries you mentioned. I would think it would probably be best if you posted your question as a new topic. I believe you would most likely get the answers you need that way.

I know from the U.S., the fares are pretty steep to Russia. Good luck in your planning, and enjoy St. Petersburg. It's truly a wonderful experience.
