Visa Reqmts

Is a visa required for US citizens to visit Turkey? If yes, how does one go about obtaining the visa?

No advance visa required, but you have to pay $45 (in exact dollar bills, no travelers checks or credit card) at the port of entry for a sticker visa valid 3 months. Fees vary with nationality. For Britons it's GBP10.

Yeah, <BR>you can get visa right at airport.<BR>I think it was about $40 but when you get there you just pay them and you are fine.<BR>Went last year.<BR>no problem

Here is all the information you require about visa: http://www.adventuretours.com.tr/info_visa.asp

You can visit www.turkey.org/start.html to find out all of the specifics and the cost is US$45.00.<BR><BR>The downside of applying in the States is that you have to send your actual passport and I guess that the downside of doing it at the airport is long lines that sometimes form.
