Visa for Turkey

Are Visa's available at the airport in Istanbul all hours of the day, depending on when your flight arrives?

Thanks

Yes (we arrived at 4 or 5 in the morning), and it is before passport control and any cash machine. Make sure that you have the dollars or euros to pay for it.

I think you can also now get them in advance on the internet - search this board for info.

We are currently in Turkey. Bought our visas on the internet beforehand. Very easy - you print them at home. Saves a very long queue to buy them when you get here.

Go to https://www.evisa.gov.tr/en/

I used this a month after it's introduction a few months ago, works a treat. You print your own visa.

yes you can apply & get your visa online .That's good ways for visa.

What is the cost? The website says $ 20.00 and then something about $ 60.00 per person.

PRLCH Jul 24th, 2013 01:54 AM

We paid US$60 each and are currently in Istanbul, so info is current.

sf7307 Jul 24th, 2013 08:50 AM

We paid $20 each for our on-line visas. Don't kow what the $60 is all about. (this was last month). Be sure to keep your visa with your passport - you have to show it at immigration when you leave the country.

sf7307 Jul 24th, 2013 08:53 AM

Are you sure you're looking at the official site? I think you might be looking at one that charges $20 for the visa and a $39 "service fee", which is NOT the official one.

Improviser Jul 24th, 2013 09:02 AM

Well first, the question should be do you need a visa? Not all nationalities need one to enter Turkey. That's when having more than one passport comes in handy. ;-)

The link that seat 61 has provided is the government site to apply on.

PRLCH Jul 27th, 2013 11:22 PM

Well, I don't know if the cost is different for different countries, but I am looking at my e-visa receipt which comes from www.evisa.gov.tr/en/invoice - the same site as Man in seat 61 refers to. We are Australian and we paid US$60 each on 24th June.

Tommmo Jul 27th, 2013 11:29 PM

Yes Australians pay much more. It's in retaliation for higher visa charges for Turks in Aus.

Tommmo Jul 27th, 2013 11:39 PM

Is it a multiple entry visa? If so how many entries are permitted?

immimi Jul 28th, 2013 07:13 AM

Canadians pay the same as Aussies.

Just used the official site. EZ to do. Paid my $20USD by cc, downloaded and printed it off.
