Vis, Brac or Hvar in August

Vis, Brac or Hvar in August
We are having trouble deciding which island to stay on for a couple of nights in August. I've only heard good things about all three. We won't have a car so transportation is important. We are an early 30's couple, no kids. What island would you recommend?!

With only two nights and no car, I'd rule out Vis. Hvar and Brac have fairly good bus network, or you can just stay put in one place. If you mean this August start looking for accommodation yesterday. I'd avoid Bol and Hvar town and look for a place elsewhere due to crowds.
