Virgin Atlantic

I have been looking for some inexpensive airfares to London for May. Has anyone flown Virgin-Atlantic to London. I have heard some mixed reviews.

yes - millions of people have flown VS (Virgin Atlantic). In general it is one of the very best carriers. Great service, good food, cramped seating in coach.

AA in contrast has roomier seating, decent service, so so food.

We have always flown to London on Virgin, as have my children. No one has one complaint.
You might type Virgin Airlines into the text search box to read what everyone has already said about it here!
Hurry, the closer to summer, the higher the fares to London.

I have heard that you have to be a virgin to fly on them, seems like they have a way of checking (I think there is a chip on our passports).

ahhhhh, they are fine and offer good entertainment. After all its an airline and what do you expect? I would fly with the best price as long as its a major airline.

They gave me really cute striped socks.... Cozy!

After years of flying I have to say that Virgin has the absolute BEST in-flight entertainment system of any airline, bar NONE. Individual seat screens, lots of emlectronic games, lots of movies that start when YOU want them to. That system alone made my last flights Dulles-London and return go much faster. Yeah, there isn't a lot of room in the coach seats and all that hype about added leg room on other carriers often extends ONLY to their upper tier frequent flyers so if you book an alternative make sure you are getting those few extra inches in which you will be thoroughly BORED!

I have flown it seveal times - I love it!

My favorite airline.

Thonglori, I love those little socks, although I don't wear them out of the house :)

Virgin is better than BA, but then of course so are most airlines. I like United better than Virgin, but it's not a huge margin.

But it's only a few hours out of your life. Fly whichever airline is most convenient and least expensive.
