Vineyards close to Lisboa, no car - Alentejo or Setubal?

Hello, folks!
You've previously helped me on my Douro's day trip itinerary to the vineyards. Thank you all!
Well, on my second part of my trip, ill be settled in Lisbon and i would like to visit another vineyard.
So, here's my problem: i can't find a vineyard that i can go by myself without any cars.
According to my research, there are 2 wine-regions around Lisboa: Setubal and Alentejo. The thing is: it's not easy at all to find a vineyard close to Setubal, Azeitão or Evora, for example. And also, i dont plan to stay in any of those towns - it would be a daytrip.

Should i give up my idea and make a daytrip to Sintra, Cascais, or other mainstream destinations instead?

Thank you all =)

In the Setubal region you'll find Manzwine, Porto Salvo, (www.manzwine.com), which offers tours, and Filipe Jorge Palhoça (www.filipepalhoca.pt). There is also Quinta do Piloto in Palmela (www.quintadopiloto.pt).

I visited a couple of wineries in the Alentejo region last December, but I was staying in Evora and arranged the trip through my hotel. I can recommend the Dona Maria winery outside Estremoz, but I can't imagine how you'd get there by public transport. Bus to Estremoz and then a taxi, perhaps.

Maybe better to save the Alentejo until you can spend a couple of nights in Evora. Sintra is a very good day trip from Lisbon, and you can do Cascais and/or Estoril on the same day. You are going to Belem, right?

hey thursday! i won't have time enough to overnight in Evora, because i have booked 4 nights already in Lisbon, one which ill go to Belem and taste the famous pastéis. =)
I managed to find this winery 2km from Evora called Cartuxa and so far, that's my plan.

and, about Sintra, sure i'll visit: actually, im spending the night in this lovely town.

Robert, Setubal region is still Alentejo? I found the first Quinta so lovely!

thank you!

The Alentejo region covers about a third of Portugal, but the Setúbal Peninsula is a seperate area, which is where you will find Quinto do Piloto, just southeast of Lisbon.
