Villa Rosa vs.Poseidon vs.Marincanto vs. Miramare

Help!I posted this message last week with only a couple of replys so I changed my message title hoping to get some more response. These Positano hotels all look great. Can anyone advise on the pros & cons of each? We are looking for good location and great views. Thanks!

Don't know the others but we stayed at the Poseidon several years ago and enjoyed it thoroughly. We walked down to the beach and took the bus (an experience in itself) back up. They also had parking. The Poseidon was recommended to us by people who'd visited Positano every summer for years.
They finally got tired of the prices at Sireneuse, changed to the Poseidon and were happy with that change.

Another vote for the Poseidon -- here are the pluses:

it is right on the main road so that you don't have to walk up/down the stairs with your bags, nor do you have to hire one of those porters to bring it down past the point of where cars can go on the main road

it has a pool -- granted a small pool, but the view and the service by the pool is great and is worth spending time there and the fact that the pool is there helps for when it gets really hot b/c you can just take a quick dip

rooms -- we stayed in a jr. suite and it was huge... we ate breakfast on our terrace every morning, as well.

walk down to the beach-- if you follow the main road, the walk down to the beach (past all of the shops, etc.) is very nice, not too strenuous (nor is the walk back up to the hotel at the end of the night)

close to our favorite restaurant -- Medittaraneo -- this was our favorite restaurant in positano. It is owned by this family where the father picks all of the wines and the daughter and her husband are the waiters. The food was great -- we had this fried zucchini appetizer that was phenomenal. Also, my fish was fresh and delicious and my husband's steak was great as well.

I really liked the Villa Rosa but have not stayed at the others; can think of no cons except the steps up to the place. Since these are all evidently well-liked hotels, how can you go wrong? Just make a decision, go, and have fun!
