I'm planning a trip to Sicily for my immediate/extended families (6 adults, 3 children). We are looking for a villa where we can all stay, and use as a "homebase" for sight seeing. I've seen a couple of villa websites, however I am more interested in recommendations based on personal experience, etc.

Do you have a particular area/side of the island that you would like to focus on?

We plan to focus on the the east side of the island, Messina, Catania, Siracusa.
