Villa Rental in Bonassola-ten minute train ride to the Cinque Terre
I rented a villa for a week. It was large and in an ideal location. I have posted a review in the Trip Advisor forum on Bonassola.
The villa was the Casa Bona Mare rented by www.rentavilla.com

My review is

I will be on the trip report soon!

Not in the villa, but www.rentavilla.com can probably locate a short term rental for you.

That's interesting you heard no train noise. That was my biggest concern for you -- that train and/or traffic noise would be a problem.
Not surprised the bed count didn't fully match the need. It's just customary for renters to advertise "sleeps 8" or whatever when some of the "sleeps" are pull out sofas or tiny bunks. If you are more than a couple traveling in Liguria, it is probably good to always add a fictional two or three to the number in your party, and look for a place that "sleeps" the larger number to be sure everybody has a real bed.
I look forward to the trip report to learn if you got to eat lasagne al pesto.

I agree, zeppole, lesson learned. In this particular case they had described the villa as having four bedrooms. We counted three. It worked to have one of the singles take over the third floor (full bath, kitchen, huge outdoor terrace, and very large living space...he did pretty well up there!)
The train noise was a concern and all we ever heard was the sound of the sea and the occasional passerby. It was perfect.
I learned to love pesto in every form. On our first full day I bought a jar of fresh pesto at Il Laboratorio del Petso, Via Dante Alighieri 16, Levanto along with some fresh pasta and fresh anchovies. I could happily have lived the week on nothing else (well, of course prosecco and gelato were essential). It was utterly fantastic. Your suggestions were spot on and I cannot thank you enough.

Da niente!
I actually *do* live on pesto and anchovies. There is a bakery up the street from me that makes its own pesto on weekends, and I am addicted. I buy anchovies by the double kilo. One other thing that is great in Liguria? You can buy jars of ground olives. Cook up some pasta, toss it hot in the olive paste -- presto! It's dinner!
Mercifully, I've become a gelato snob and only will eat it from Frigidarium in Rapallo -- or else I'd need to walk up twice as many stairs as a do to keep fit.
