McCarty: My family of six stayed at Il Limoni, a 16th century villa in the hills above Lucca in 2000. We arranged the villa through Tuscany Now at tuscanynow.com. They were great. My family are all adults, so you may not need a place as big (six bedrooms and four baths), but Tuscany Now has villas in all sizes and price ranges. You can order a spectacular catalogue online which they will send to you. You are not too early to make a reservation very soon. They are booked very early. If I can provide you any additional information, please ask. Have a great trip.

Lucky you. If I could live anywhere in Italy, it would be Lucca. We stayed in a little village called Marlia, very close to Lucca, in a large wing of an old Villa. Our apartment name was the Villa Costa. There will be plenty of room for your family of 6 . Very reasonable too. Check out the website - www.italianrentals.com, there's pictures. Maria Bandoni, the owner, was great to deal with. We made all the reservations on line.

If you stay there, let me know how you liked it. I could go on forever,

Ciao.
