Villa le Rondini in Florence?
 
Has anyone stayed here? Is the location really inconvenient or does the view make up for it? We are considering staying here for 2 nights in January.

Yeah, I saw that earlier. I was hoping someone had a more recent experience. I don't know if that is a bad sign. Thanks for taking the time to look that up for me.

What is the location? January can be a deciding factor: you are likely to run into more gray days than other times, and if it is far out, for only 2 nights, you might prefer the center.

From what I understand it is on a hill overlooking Florence and about a 10 minute drive to city center.
