Villa in Tuscany - suggestions for day trips?

I run a social networking company (www.ThePerfectCircles.com). We plan events like fencing lessons, Cherry Blossom tours (we are in DC), museum tours, etc.

We have rented a villa in Tuscany for a week in July. Any suggestions on day-trips and Florence must-see museums?

Thanks a ton :)

Do we get a commission for helping you plan the itinerary for your clients?

Sure - if you are the guide and you are good!

Just kidding! Actually, the members of my group can go on these trips as they please.

I am planning them for my husband and myself, since we will be in Tuscany for a week, as well.

Sorry, PerfectCircles, but your posting sounded a bit like an ad!
The fact that you ask about "must-see museums" in Florence tells me that you probably show do a bit a research on the trip. I don't mean to sound sarcastic, but a minimal amount of research on Florence would reveal that the Uffizi is one of the world's great museums and that seeing Michelangelo's David at the Accademia is a must!
The opportunities for day trips are limitless in the Tuscany/Umbria area. What are best for you and your husband, obviously, will be determined by what interests you.
Do like you would do in planning trips for others: Determine your interests and research the possibilities!
Thanks - I did think that a forum such as this was for the express purpose of getting an inside scoop on places - not the regular stuff yielded by internet searches...

Oh well, you have scared me off of this one.

PerfectCircles, you are posting with an attitude! That's not going to bode well for getting much help on the forum. There are a whole group of people who are more than willing to offer solid tips, advice, etc. However, we do ask that you do your part.
And when you ask a question, such as wanting to know must-see museums in Florence, the answer is that the Uffizi and Accademia should be at the top of your list. And, even the slightest bit of research would have turned up that information.
The fact that you've gotten very little response to your question should tell you something! Maybe it's you!

I was going to chime in but Howard answered as I would have done throughout: messages that start with an ad that carries gratuitous information do make Fodorites nervous as we have been dragged into scams before.

If this is a serious quest for info, post again without the bumph and indicate what you already have researched and scheduled. This will bring the sorts of useful ideas you can incorporate into your personalized itinerary. It works, honest!!

This forum is not a service, it is made up of people who travel who are willing to give advice and thoughts.
Your post comes across as an ad, which it is since you added your .com site.
