VILLA IN TUSCANY
 

Two married couples and single woman are going to Tuscany in 6/98. We are first time travelers to Italy. . We want to stay in a villa located in a triangle formed by Pisa, Siena and Florence. Can anyone recommed a villa, or place to stay. We want something rustic but well perserved and nice. Appreciate any help you can give us.

My wife and I have just returned from a trip to France and Italy. In Tuscany we stayed one week at a villa in the ourskirts of Siena. It was great. From there we visited the Chianti region, Firenze and the region south of Siena (Montalcino, Montepulciano, Pienza, Sinalunda).

I'd like to recommend a Web site called Initaly. Besides lots of great information about traveling in Italy, there is a specific page that has descriptions and pictures of country villas, castles etc. for travellers. You will get lots of great ideas for your trip. The reference is http://www.initaly.com/~initaly/index.htm
Look for Countryside Accomodations to find the descriptions of places to stay. Don't pass by the letters that people have written after they stayed at various places.
