Villa in Siena/Chianti region
 

We woould like to rent a car and spend two nights exploring hilltowns between our time in Florence and then Venice. Looking for a villa overlooking a vineyard or olive groves, but need to be able to pick up and return car to FLorence.

Most villas rent for a minimum of one week. I'd be surprised if you could rent one for only two nights. I think you'll have to stay at a hotel.

You might consider Villa Vignamaggio, outside of Greve in Chianti. Lovely rooms and suites overlooking vineyards, close to Florence.

Ditto. Check out www.tuscany.net. I stayed in a villa outside of San Gimiagnano called Pietrafita-Il Borghetto. It was inexpensive, but was absolutely beautiful with breathtaking views.
