Villa in Provence

What would be an ideal location to rent a villa in Provence that could be a base of operations while there. Nightlife isn't very important, but we would like to visit vineyards and have good food while there. Thanks! Any help is greatly appreicated!

If it's vineyards you want, the area around Gigondas and Séguret would be ideal. That's the center of the wine villages for that region, and from there you can reach many other areas of interest, such as Châteauneuf-du-Pape,the Rhône Valley, and Cassis. Another possibility would be the town of Villeneuve-lès-Avignon (across the Rhône from Avignon), which is close to the Châteauneuf-du-Pape vineyards. This entire region of Provence is filled with good restaurants.

Underhill has given you many areas to consider. Now you can begin your search with the many, many sites that have rentals....here are a few..www.gite.com
www.vrbo.com www.francehomestyle.com www.francebyheart.com
Take a look at some of these sites and see what you find.
I don't know when you want to rent. You will find that many are already taken. People book their rentals very early from year to year.
Good luck.........

www.justfrance.com has a listing in Seguret that might interest you...if available.

Use your search function for "Seguret rentals" and you will find many places to search..........
