Villa in Italy?

Hello,
A group of friends (probably 10-12) would
like to rent a 'villa' or large home in Italy
or Provence next year...any ideas where I
could find places like that..Thank you, Rita
I can share personal experience with a low-cost house ($2000) in Tuscany, about 75 minutes from Florence - - big enough for 14

or a $10,000 deluxe chateau in Provence - - comfortable for 16 (no bathroom sharing required); they say it can hold 22.

Best wishes,

Rex
Check out the web site Cohenkenny.com This couple travels extensively and have created a site full of good info on rentals in Italy, etc. There are reviews of agencies as well as homes

Three companies I've rented villas in Italy from are Tuscan Enterprises, Cuendet, and Vacanze in Italia. Been happy with all three.

Two companies that have been recommended to me were: www.rentvillas.com (from a recent Arthur Frommer article in the LA Times) and www.vbella.com (by a friend who used them)....

I have enjoyed three wonderful trips to the Amalfi Coast in Italy, staying at the Villa del Sol y de la Luna in Positano. This villa sleeps six and has the most breathtaking view possible. Lots to see and do all around! You can find pictures on theparkercompany.com
