Villa Borghese online reservation

Need to make a reservation for a September visit and plan to use the Roma Pass but the website seems to say that I cannot do this online but have to phone. Any suggestions - I'm on the West Coast so timing a phone call is tricky, also I don't speak any Italian!

If you plan to use the Roma pass you can not make reservations ahead of time. I just made full reservations the other day for 19 euro. Before you purchase the tickets it will tell you how many tickets are available for each time of the day. That might help make your decision for using the Roma pass.

You use to be able to book a time reservation. Sometime in late July early August they changed things. See prior post I sent below.
my daughter just went through this. They as of now are NO LONGER allowing reservations made on the net. If you book on the net you pay. This is the response she got when she emailed and quetioned it.
Here is their response:
"If you want to reserve only you can call us at 39 06 32810. No on line reservations."
You can call by adding 011 in front of the 39. Press 2 for reservations and then 1 for english. I booked for her this am it took 5 min. They give you a reservation number then when you go you present the number and your Roma card.
Tip: go to local mexican market and get a $5.00 international calling card much cheaper than standard phone company rates. Also remember that they are open appx 9-5 Rome time being on the west coast I called at 5am as they are 9 hours ahead of me east coast is 6 hours.

I agree it was very easy to make a reservation. No Italian is needed. I too live on the West Coast and I called at 6 am and got through just fine. Just follow the instructions as previously posted. Took just a few minutes. It makes it faster if you know exactly when you want to go. I had my date and time that I wanted and the operator then just took my name and gave me my reservation number.

When I was in Rome in June, I had a Roma Pass and I called to reserve. I used Borghese as one of the free entries of the Roma Pass, so I didn't need to pay when I picked up the tickets (just showed my Roma Pass).

Thanks for the info - not being an early riser, I tried this morning at 9.02 am - office closes at 6pm and was indeed closed! Will try again tomorrow a little earlier.

There is no need to call -- email instead. My situation:

I purchased Roma Passes online to p/u at the airport upon arrival so of course would not select to PAY for the Borghese Galleries tix online.

The work-around: I found their email address on the Borghese website and simply emailed them. I told them I'd already acquired the Roma Passes, related my date and time preference for the reservation (which I'd checked were available beforehand), and they emailed me the confirmation number within hours! This all occurred in the last 6 weeks or so (for September).

Easy-peasy! ;-)

So, the e mail didn't work for me - just got a reply which told me the phone number. Anyway, I phoned this morning and got the reservation, no problem. Thanks for all the help.
