Viking River Cruise: Paris and the Heart of Normandy

Has anyone been on this cruise on the Viking Neptune? What sights can you recommend that are not included in the itinerary? Our cruise is in March. Any advice to make sure we utilize our time and sightseeing, so we don't miss anything would be very helpful! Thanks

Have you posted your questions on cruisecritic.com? Go to the river cruise section and you will have a wealth of information gladly given to you from many that have been on the same cruise.

Have fun.

March seems awfully early - the countryside will NOT be at its best.

I will post my question on cruisecritic, thank you for the help Paul! We are taking my parents, it will be there first time out of the USA. We are very excited... :)

nytraveler, sadly, it is the only time we could get together. It took years to convince my parents to go, I didn't want to give them any wiggle room to chicken out.

Particularly is Giverney open?
Seems to hit the high points. this would be a lovely driving trip of the same length.
