viking river cruise

Has anyone ever been on a Viking River Cruise? We are considering cruising with them down the Danube from Passau, Germany on to Budapest and back to Vienna. If any of you have any knowledge of them, please let us know asap-we may book tomorrow.
Thanks-C

Carolyn,
Was sorry to see there were no responses to your post. My husband and I want to do this same trip and would love to know more about it. If you have any info, could you pass it on?

Viking River Cruise web site is vikingrivers.com. You can print a 2001 brochure from this site. We are going to take a cruise with them beginning with a couple of nights in Prague and then transferring to boat in Passau, Germany to begin cruise on Sept. 2 for 7 nights. Will be glad to report back and let you know how it went. They have bought out KD River Cruise Company and now have quite a fleet. We think it will be great.

My girlfriend and I are also going on a Danube river cruise next May, on the MS Heinrich Heine, leaving from Budapest to Regensberg, Germany for (7) days, and then bussed to Prague for (2) nights at the Hotel Savoy. I will be very interested to hear about your trip when you return. Some friends of mine did a Rhine river cruise this past May and LOVED it! Anxious to hear your experiences.....have a GREAT trip Carolyn!

Carol-
We did the Danube trip from Budapest to
Passau on KD Lines Heinrich Heine. It was spectacular, a not to miss trip.
Going downriver is more expensive, and might be better to have more shore time.
I would do it again in a heartbeat.
Tom
