VIGO, SPAIN

Looking for recommendations for places to stay - either hotel, apartments, or homes. We will be in Vigo mid-May 2015 with our four grown children for two nights - prefer a 3/bed-bath home if possible.
Also, if anyone knows of something special to see/do. My husband has cousins in Vigo we will be trying to locate - surname 'SANTOS'.
Any advise appreciated - thx - Karen MORAIS

For 2 nights, you should stick with staying in a hotel. It's a lot simpler.

A budget would be helpful in recommending a place to stay.

and is SANTOS the first or second surname?
Yes if there just 2 nights a hotel.

SANTOS IS THE LAST NAME -

BUDGET UNDER $125/NIGHT IF POSSIBLE FOR A REASONABLY MID RANGE HOTEL

I'M LOOKING FOR SOMETHING IN AN AREA CLOSE TO OR INSIDE THE VIGO CITY BOUNDARIES - ??? WOULD LIKE TO BE ABLE TO WALK AROUND TO EXPLORE AND DINE.

I do not know how far your Hong Dollars will go in Spain, perhaps not so far.;-)
Use booking.com to filter all of the requirements you want.
Vigo is officially 109.1 km² so you should find accommodation somewhere.

We are still looking for hotel advise in the Vigo area - there are so many hotels but not knowing the area, we're not sure - has anyone stayed in Old town Vigo - we notice some of the hotels are 3-4 miles away from the downtown area - where would you recommend staying - in a hotel downtown? Old Town Vigo? or one a 3-4 miles out of the downtown area?
Thx again - Karen

Locations of hotels is purely down to your choice. The very old town has pedestrianised zones so choose carefully where you stay. Read what the description and reviews say on Booking that way one will see what it is like.
Personally I do not like Vigo so much. There are better locations in Galicia.

Depending on your budget, you can consider the Gran Hotel Nagari, or the Inffinit. Both are well located for visiting Vigo's old city.

Thank you - we are looking at the Hotel Puerta Gamboa - it looks like it's located in Old Vigo ?? the reviews/prices seem very good. Thx for suggestions - :)
