vignettes costs,route uk to bg.
 

Hi all.i am driving to BG from dieppe next week and wondered if anyone is driving there at the same time,also can anyone tell me what countries i have to get vignettes for and rough cost please for each vignette,i have already been told of cost for tolls etc and fuel,ie £250-300,if anyone can help with info i would be grateful,my route would be france,germany,austria,hungary,romania,BG.

I looked up the "recommended" route from Dieppe to Sofia at www.viamichelin.com.

They state a road tax of 47.7 E.

France and Germany don't have "road tax" stickers.

You will have to buy a vignette for Austria (about 10E) if you drive on the main highways.

You will also need an International Driver's Permit in Austria.

I don't know about the charges in the Balkans.

I do a route plan from Uk to BG going through Romania. I have given out over 400 copies and am on ver 8 at the moment. I have driven up and down 23 times in the last 4 years, so know the route very well.
