View of Eiffel Tower - dining?

We've decided to skip dining on the tower itself and want to enjoy the PM view of the tower in lights. Any suggestions about restaurants in the vicinity with a good view and decent or fabulous food? We're seeking something in the moderate price range. Thanks! We'll drink a toast to you!

Hi,

Have a little patience. It's only been an hour since your first post.

Also, instead of reposting, it is better to just reply to your previous post to bring it to the top of the list.

This is called topping.

This is a wonderful question. I'm not sure that we want to take even go up the tower-I know that the view is spectacular, but I don't like high places. The idea of a woderful dinner with the tower in view seems most appealing.
I hope that someone will have some ideas that we can all use!
Thank you.

O.K. ira, thanks for your feedback. I thought that I may have not made my original question clear since I submitted a post several days ago about dining ON the tower. So, I will be patient.

nikiefal, let's hope that we get lots of good suggestions. Then we can have the pleasure of checkin' 'em out and post our feedback. When will you be in Paris?

Hotel Concorde Lafeyette gives you a fantastic view of the Eiffel Tower, your choice of several dining rooms (varying prices) and for the person who doesn't like heights, this works: http://www.concorde-lafayette.com/indexframe2.htm.

If you can tolerate heights, there is a restaurant on top of the Montparnasse Tower.
