View from the train in Ireland

Hi. I’m spending a week in Dublin in August. I know there’s so much of Ireland to see, but there’s a ton of stuff I want to do in Dublin. I thought I’d take one or two day trips, either through a tour or the train. I would like to see the countryside a little and I was wondering if the view from the train is nice. For a train trip, I was thinking of Belfast or Galway. For possible scenic destinations, I was thinking of a tour of Wicklow/Glendalough or the Cliffs of Moher. Thanks.

Train to Belfast, then do a tour with McCombs, if you take the early train you can get the tour at ten. Wild Rover does a long day tour from Dublin which is another option. Wicklow would be my pick. If you go north you will see some beautiful scenery. Dart to Howth and walk the cliffs. It isn't like the coastal train to Scotland. You see some farms and an occasional castle but no coastal views. The Dart train to Greystones is scenic.
