Vienna--Sacher hotel?
 

I have reservations at the Sacher in May. Have read some messages on this board that the hotel is undergoing construction. Does anyone out there have recent information to share about this?

I suggest you keep "topping" your question, i.e., add a new message to the thread, such as "To the top," and hope that the stalwart poster in Vienna who always answers such questions and whose name I have unfortunately forgotten will see it and reply.

At the end of February they were pouring concrete on some of the upper floors and the hotel was surrounded by scaffolding. I stopped to watch them pumping. Have nothing further. Why not contact the hotel directly?

I was at a party there in March. Scaffolding still up, although they were starting to take some of it down. Payant is right, check with the hotel. It didn't look to me like they would be finished by May, but you never know.

Had lunch there yesterday. Scaffolding is still up outside. Don't know about inside.
