Vienna Restaurants - Dress Code - Steirereck and Korso

Visiting Vienna next month and just wondering about the dress code for men. Is it jacket and tie or smart casual? I'd be grateful if anyone is in the know. Thanks.

These are two of the best restaurants in Vienna.
A coat and tie for men is best.
Only exception perhaps would be the new Steirereck at midday.

You may see a man without a jacket- his table will also fit his mode of attire.

I had dinner at both - wore a jacket and tie (that was 4 years a go). Now - I would wear for Korso a jacket and tie. For Steirereck I would go smart casual - meaning not Banana Republic, but a notch or two above - maybe Faconnable, Etro or Varvatos (may be a bit too causal) - if you can't do that then a jacket and tie to blend in

That's great, thanks. Just wanted to check on the tie situation really. Looking forward to our visit on 7th December!
