Thanks for all the good advice you've given me! I may return with some more questions:-)

oh molker
how can you say the nossek is just 'ok' lol it was such a nice surprise for us -didnt expect to get such nice lodgings so centrally and so reasonably ( 110 euros back in 06) too bad about the renos in the graben - loved walking there |
I suggest that the above poster read my posting more carefully. I can say the Nossek is just Ok very easily - have you walked by there recently or not since 06.
The area of Graben between Julius Meinl and Stephansdom now looks like a battle zone. Noise , dust , dirt torn up pavement , deep holes , construction equipment -temporary walking areas. This is said to remain this way for a good portion of the summer. Not the best place to stay currently and I just advise travelers to this situation. People should be aware of this. The noise alone must be an inconvenience and not conducive to a stay there at this time. The city of Vienna advises until October. The bus 1A forced to detour. Delivery and trash removal chaos. No fun for a visitor stying at this hotel. |
and i, molker was just having a laugh
(note the ' lol' laugh- out- loud)...and the acknowledgement of the 'renos' going on - 'renovations' ahhh international barriers to humour! of course it wouldnt be pleasant with all the noise and upheaval so of course it wouldnt even rate as a place to stay but i loved the nossek and when all the rubble has been neatly stowed then it is more than an ok place to stay!!! |
