Vienna Chocolate Help Please!

I am in Vienna for a couple more weeks and want to bring some very special chocolates home to a dear friend. So many shops look schlocky if you know what I mean. Can someone recommend a beautiful chocolatier? Sadly I saw what looked like an exquisite one when I was walking from Judenplatz to St Stephens but did not stop nor note the location and I have Been unable to trace my steps! Need some help here. Thank you in advance!

Zotter is everywhere and in practically every flavor. My favorite place to collect Zotter was at a shop in Naschmarkt. Spar and Billa have limited selections.

Xocolat is in the Freyung passage (connected to Cafe Central).

There's always Mozart Kugeln. Yuck.

I don't find Mozartkugeln so awful, but they are mass-produced and not so special for that reason. There is also a Mozartkugeln liqueur, if your tastes run to that (or your friend's tastes)!

Have you looked on Google Maps in the area you saw the chocolatier? You could do a specific search in the app. Or maybe take a look online to see which are recommended?

Thanks everyone. I found a couple of small shops - Bea’s (Wollzelle 22) and BonBons Freyung (Freyung 6). Viennese, Belgian and Swiss chocolates. Both had what I was after. I’ll have to try to find X-Chocolate since that seems to be the go-to!
