vienna card: und den folgenden 3 tagen?

i was planning to buy vienna cards but am a bit puzzled by the terminology. its listed as a 72 hour card. but the sample image on their website shows card is valid for the current date & the following 3 days:

http://www.wstw.at/WienerStadtWerke/...24/66036_3.jpg

wouldnt that be a 96 hour card?

the 72hr is mentioned http://www.wienkarte.at/EN/?l=e

thanks

The vienna card is good for 72 hours from time of validation.

You must separate out: the Vienna Card offers reductions for entrance fees for museums etc. on the day you validate it plus the next 3 days. And it is valid for use of public transportation for 72 hours, BUT you have to validate it by punching it in the ticket machine) - you get the exact time of the validation. From that time on it is good for public transportation for 72 hours (which is anytime on the 3rd following day). Confusing, eh?

thanks so much for clearing that out. it really is confusing that a card would have the museum discounts valid for 4 days and the ubahn for 3 days!!

i can only wonder how many tourists got fined on the ubahn for not having a valid card.

As the others have said; 72 hrs after you validate by stamping the ticket in time stamp machine. Vienna Card is not so good a value, as the discounts offered are little. I would just purchase the 72 hr transit ticket by itself.
