vienna boys choir in the United States

Has anyone seen the Vienna Boy's Choir perform in the United States? If so how was their performance?

They are singing in our city this week and I'm considering buying tickets.

Thanks so much.

We did see them at the local college two years ago and are so glad we did. Their voices may be angelic but their demeanor was not -- they really are boys! One especially notable miscreant did not return after intermission - no doubt placed in a corner backstage. Also, it was winter and a number of them had bad colds, with resultant sneezing & coughing and I thought "they're so far away from home & family & everything familiar..."

This was before we visited Vienna ourselves and ironically, we did not manage to see them on their home turf when we went to Austria last month, and so were even more pleased to have seen them when we did.

Hi! Would you have a link or any information on how I may see the choir? Are they touring the US? I live in Manhattan. Thanks.

Go to their website http://www.wsk.at/
click on English, then click on dates. They are touring the U.S. at the present time.

Several years ago they performed at Hill Auditorium at the University of Michigan. We thought they were great, really enjoyed the performance a lot. I think they also enjoyed performing and when their standing ovation ended and they left the stage, several of the boys even smiled and waved "goodbye".

Thanks so much! They're in Cincinnati this Tuesday evening. I just read about it today. We will be in Vienna over New Years and won't be able to see them that week, so I'm thrilled to have the opportunity here.

The web site is:

We were so fortunate to hear the Vienna Boys Choir last night. They were wonderful and very well behaved, all 25 boys. One looked like he must be 7 or 8 years old, although he must be 10. We sat close enough to enjoy watching all of them! The Christmas songs were a nice addition to the program, and you've never heard "I saw Mommy kissing Santa Clause" until you've heard the Vienna Boys Choir sing it!!

If you're fortunate enough to have them in your area, go!
