What are the "must see's" in Vienna. We are not on a tour, and totally on our own. We are an active "seniore couple"

Firstly, you explore Wien by wandering throught the inner city and along the rings. You will admire the grand buildings and visit a few of them.

The main attractions are
- Stephansdom, the cathedral
- Hofburg, the royal residence with its museums
- Graben, the central square,
- Kärnterstraße, the main shopping street
- Rathaus, city hall
- Parliament
- Museum Square, with
--- Kunsthistorisches Museum for art
--- Naturgeschichtliches Museum for natural history
- Opera

Besides the main attractions, you should spend some time in one the famous cafés (e.g. Demel, Diglas, Landtmann..) and an evening in a Beisl, eating traditional food (e.g. Griechenbeisl). For the most typical dining experience, have a Tafelspitz at Plachutta.

For more special interests, I further recommend
- the market and the art nouveau facades along the Wienzeile
- Hundertwasserhaus
- Haus der Musik (music museum)
- Schloss Schönbrunn
- Secession for Jugendstil (art nouveau)

For more special interests,
