There is a website which will work out the distance but I don't know what its called. Looking at my map of London it looks quite a walk........

About 25 minutes without luggage.

I'd get a bus.

CW - lazy.

I like www.multimap.com for England. You can plot any trip, driving or walking, and it will give you detailed steps and a map.

Oh, but use Holborn, not Holborne.

As noted, Google maps gives walking directions. You don't need to know an exact address to use it... using "Victoria Station" as a departure point works fine for example.

You should also check out http://www.communitywalk.com

Not only will the above allow you to plan a route but you can share, save and print them as well.

With all the map possibilities online the last thing you should have to ask in a forum is "how far from here is it to there?" !

:^)

try walkit.com for what I think may be more accurate info than Googlemaps sometimes. walkit doesn't have info for every city but it does for London.

unless you have a burning desire to do so, Minkie, frankly I wouldn't.

as CW says, bus or tube would be better.

Bit of lateral thinking here: if you're trying to get from Gatwick to Holborn tube station (for the Renaissance Chancery?), don't go to Victoria. Take the First Capital Connect to City Thameslink, take the Holborn Viaduct exit (not the Ludgate Circus one ), and then it's only about three stops on the bus.
