Via Viagem card to SIntra
 
IF using Via Viagem card for ttrain ticket to Sintra , do I need to purchase ticket ia day in advance, or waIt till we want to go.to Rossi station. Will be in Lisbon in early October. Thanks.

You can buy it same day, or in advance, no difference. Note that there are various options that may be cost effective depending on your plans - 24 hour ticket vs paying by trip.
