Via Delle Vacche Apartment in Rome -- anyone familar with it?
As a result of running through countless posts on Rome accommodations, I came across what sounds like a superb apartment near the Piazza Novana. Sleepinitaly.com lists it as Via Delle Vacche.

Anyone familar with it? KenP noted he was traveling through Paris and Rome with his two teenage daughters, and that is precisely the traveling party my wife and I will have next spring -- except it's our granddaughter and another 16-year-old.
My interests are the neighborhood, if the apartment is large enough to accommodate us, and generally if the place adds to, or detracts from, the trip.
I am also pursuing similar quarters for the Paris portion of the trip, and my questions are similar. Each segment will be four nights.
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jim

JimF, the apartment seems quite comfortable.I like the idea of having a terrace to enjoy an expresso or drink a glass of wine. As you probably alredy know the first floor in Europe is the equivalent of the second floor in the US.
Last year I rented also an apt. with Sleepintaly. My apt. was located in Via della Croce, just off Piazza di Spagna.

JimF, I did a google search here at Fodors and found this article. I am not sure if the apartment described is the same one.

Kismetchimera, I read that article and wondered if it was the same. Have not been able to validate if it is or not, since I do not have the street number of this apartment to compare with the one the article mentions.
Neighborhood sounds good, though.

Perhaps the article is referring to a different place and sleepintaly will not give you the building number or the name of the landlord until you made a deposit.
However, does it seems strange that the description of the terrace including the chairs are similar?

I just came back from a 2 week visit in Rome and stayed in this apartment. On the plus side, the location is excellent and the terrace lovely. However, I think it would be too small for four (we were three, the sofa in the living room now only sleeps one). Plus, I thought the apartment itself was a bit 'tired', I didn't regret staying there but would look for something a bit nicer next time. Finally, the street itself is quite noisy (but most of Rome is), and worst of all, there was a weird 'after-hours' kind of bar directly beneath the apartment that would open (sometimes) about 11 at night or so. Earplugs were necessary when that happened. All in all, we had a great trip, and don't regret staying in that apartment, but probably wouldn't go back to it again.
FYI -- the NYTimes article is referring to the same apartment.
