Very Recommended Prague Tour Guide

I just wanted to recomend to everyone the tour guide Sabina in Prague. She was recomended to me by Leslie Straus on this board. Sabina is very knowledgeable and fun. She is a graduate student from Prague and provides a variety of private tours. She met us at our hotel and gave us a 4 hour basic tour of the city, including some of the castle. She knows all about architecture, history, current society, etc. It was only $9 bucks an hour. What a great deal! I know she also does custom tours. For example, she said shes helped people looking for special chandelliers and helped their search all over Prague. She'll learn up on something if you want particular information on statues, etc. She also speaks great English. Her email address is: [email protected]

We took lots of tours throughout our two weeks in Prague, Cesky Krumlov, Salzburg, and Vienna. Hers was definitely the best.

I met Sabina (also through Leslie) and thought she was terrific. Actually, we both did not have time so we broke up the 4 hour tour into 2 hours over two days. On the second day, her friend Martina took me around. Both Sabina and Martina were fabulous!

Haven't been here much, but was glad to see wonderful comments about Sabina. I actually found Sabina by accident, through a tour guide that I had used for a general tour of Prague. However, my initial reason for having Sabina guide me through Prague was to obtain information on the Jewish Ghetto. However, since Sabina was such a delight to be with, I had her spend the day with me. Sabina is a graduate student at Charles University, and speaks fluent English. Because Sabina is younger, you will get a different perspective of what it was like to be a child during the communist regime and now a young adult during a democracy. By the way, all the tour guides in the Czech Republic must be licensed. They must take course and an examination and then apprentice for another guide before going off on their own.

Melanie and Melissa, thanks for the kudos.

How do you reach Sabrina when you're in Prague?

Sabina's email address is [email protected] -- she responds to email within about 24 hours.

Hi Leslie, not sure if you got my abbreviated trip report. But yes, I felt that it was well worth it to have the one-on-one experience, just to get a true look at what Czech people are like and their way of thinking.

Another vote for Sabina. We used her on two different days while in Prague. She is so intelligent, knowledgeable and has perfect English. You won't regret using her! Marcie
