I arrive on the 13th and have two weekends in Paris. At this stage I will be looking to visit the first weekend on a saturday as the following weekend is a long weekend with whit Monday, so assume this weekend could be a tad busier.

We did the segway tour in Paris with Fat Tire and it was fantastic...highly recommended. Versailles is amazing, we walked the gardens for hours and didn't see all of it, bikes would have been nice. The fountains really are beautiful, we were glad we stayed all day to see them and take pictures. The train to Versailles is cheap and easy, no problems there. Have a blast, it'a a dream come true!

tracker - sounds like a great idea.

2 weekends [and the week in between] in Paris is such a luxury - lucky you. our latest trip was for only 48 hours which is far too short.

tracker - the Fat tire co has an office in Paris - sort of near the Eiffel Tower. This is where you meet. You pick the bike up here and ride a few blocks to the train station. You carry the bike on to the train.

If your still out there annesherrod, can I ask you what pace the fat tire bike tour is carried out at? Casual with plenty of relaxation time? I've been to Versailles before with a tour company to see the palace only, so is not necessary for me, although a revisit would not hurt if not overlytime consuming.

It is not fast paced and there are plenty of times that we stopped and that was so he could tell a story about what we were looking at etc..
But, having said that there was one lady who could not keep up. She was overweight and probably did not bike much. There are two fairly significant hills that winded me slightly. SHe had to stop and walk the bike. That was fine because there is always a guide at the end behind everyone to make sure everyone is safe and keeping up.
The time at the palace was about 1.5 hours.
the trip started at 9am and we arrived back at the office at 6:30 pm.
