Versailles Distance From Train Station

Is it a long walk from the Versailles train station to the palace entrance? I will arrive in Paris the morning of September 8th and would like to take the train to Versailles that afternoon to see the fountain show. I know I will be tired that day due to no sleep on the flight; so, I'm not sure if I can handle a long walk.

It's probably about a 15 minute walk without much interesting to see. If you see a cab, grab it!

A short stroll. Follow the crowds. Very easy to do.

It isn't a long walk to Versailles, however, the grounds are large and there is much to see. The fountain show will be in the gardens behind the main building, however, to enjoy anything else you will need to walk or take the petit train. I would save this for another day.

I especially enjoyed seeing The Queens Hamlet which is a good distance from the main Palace.
