Verona One Night
 

We (husband and I) are going to spend one night in Verona before we head on the train into Venice. We will arrive after 6pm (after work and drive) and then would like to arrive in Venice in the late morning. We plan to turn our car in the night we arrive. Could anyone please advise me as to areas, and if possible a nice reasonably priced hotel in walking distance to Verona highlights. Thank you so much.

In April we stayed in Hotel Torcola (www.hoteltorcolo.it) for a night. It is located just steps from Piazza Bra and the Arena, and very close to many restaurants.

We had dinner at Ristorante Greppia, recommended by the hotel staff, and really liked it.

Our room was 85 euro for the night, and breakfast an additional 8 euro.

It's a small place (19 rooms, I think), but we thought it charming and hopt to go back someday.
