Verona - is it worth a stop?

travelling to paris (8 nights), venice (3 nights), florence (3 nights) and rome (2 nights - have to fly out from here and plan to come back to do properly) and just wondering if it is worth a quick stop in verona for a day or one night?

Verona is a beautiful city and well worth a trip if you have time. We stayed there for 3 days in 2006 and had a great time.

When are you going? Verona is indeed wonderful, we've been there several times usually overnight at least.
If going during the summer opera season, though be careful. It is jammed with people. Unless, of course, you want to see the opera in the wonderful old Arena (like a colliseum) then do, but probably stay over night.

We spent a night in Verona last April on our way from Malpensa to Bologna, and really would like to spend more time there.

We definitely recommend Verona!
