Verona Food Tours

Any recommendations on food tours in Verona? Not necessary to be hands-on but a combination of food and overview of the area.

We only have two days before our bike trip begins. We are thinking the food tour and a walking tour the second day. Should we have a guided tour the second day or self guided?

Not a personal recommendation but a web link from my files that might be helpful to you.

I don't think you need a guided walking tour if you are willing to do some reading ahead of time and get a good guidebook. A lot of the major guidebooks devote only a page or less to Verona (as a day trip from Venice) and focus on only the MOST touristy sights, and one can end up with really no clue how beautiful and charming Verona is right around the corner or along the river. So if you try doing some research and keep coming up with the same old-same old about piazza Bra and Juliet's Tomb, then you might very well want to have a native show your around.
