Vernazza B&B

Elisabetta Carro - has anyone stayed here? I made reservations quickly because everything else I had looked at was already booked. My highest priority is private bathroom, and this place has it, and a fantastic view from the terrace.

Our group of 6 stayed w/Elisabetta and Pino last September. If you get the upper room with the large terrace your are in for a treat. The middle room also has a private terrace but the views are not quite as good and their lower room does not have a terrace or view. All rooms had a private bathroom. Regards - eurotravler

Have you tried Martina Callo? No breakfast, just bed (and private bathroom). We stayed in #3. It has a fantastic terrace as well.

MotorCityGirl - will definitely try Gambero Rosso; will take any further info on places to eat

SockBoy - Martina Callo was already full. Hopefully Elisabetta Carro will be nice - I understand it has a fantastic terrace view!

jill, you should check out Rick Steve's site. He really likes Elisabetta.

We stayed at Villa Steno in Monterosso. It was a nice room, private bath, great breakfast and nice balcony with views. Enjoyed eating at Alta Marea in that town and DID NOT like Il Moretto, same town.

Hiking was fun and beautiful views. Don't know when you will be there. We were there this April and the lemon trees were just amazing.

We also love Hotel Villa Steno and we also did NOT like the Il Moretto restaurant.

TexasAggie, LOL were you the only two people in the restaurant? We went to dinner at about 8 PM, had several courses, left about 9:50 PM and still not another soul in sight. Very telling. The food was soso, the service was poor, they tried to scam us into a more expensive bottle of wine, etc.
