Verifying password

Several times recently I have been asked to "verify your password" when I have tried to respond to a post though my screen name appears and I am not required to log in. When I verify my password my posting has been completly obliterated. It is happening so frequently now that why try?

Sounds like you have your browser set to reject cookies . . the cookies remember who you are.

Yup,

Set your security option to a lower level.

Go to "TOOLS", "INTERNET OPTIONS", "SECURITY". Set Security to Medium.

I have my Internet options set to alert me when a web site is attempting to deposit a cookie. and I override most cookies. It is just a personal preference of mine.
If you don't want to receive cookies from every web site you visit but you need to allow cookies from some sites in order for passwords to be remembered try this:
TOOLS > INTERNET OPTIONS > PRIVACY
When you get to the PRIVACY window you'll see "to override cookie handling for individual web site click the edit button".
Click the edit button and then type www.fodors.com into the text box, select 'allow' & click OK.

Thanks for the help - come to think of it, it happens every time I empty my cookie jar. Guess I will just have to keep one stale Fodors chocolate chip in the jar!
