Venice TSF airport?

The nice folks on the Airlines board have convinced me to take RyanAir from LON STN to Venice TSF. Said RyanAir has a shuttle to Venice.

Anyone know about or used this shuttle? Is there plenty of room for all to get on the bus or is that a problem?

How long does the ride take?

Is it easy to "find" the bus?

Where does the bus take us? Obviously not going into Venice.

Do we buy tickets when we buy our online RyanAir tickets, at checkin, after landing?

Thanks, Julie

Hi Julie - You can't miss the bus - Treviso airport is very small.

I believe it takes about 1 hr into Venice. The drop-off point is Piazzale Roma.

For details see:

Hope this helps ...

I've done this though this was in 2000... maybe someone else has more recent info.

But, back in 2000, the Treviso airport was very small. Our plane was delayed and landed past 11pm. It was chaos, the booth where the coach tix were sold was closed. We saw the RyanAir coach waiting in the lot, but the driver wouldn't let us on without tickets and he wasn't allowed to sell us tickets.

Finally, a lady riding on a scooter arrived and opened up the ticket booth to sell tickets. Then we were allowed to get on the coach. We didn't arrive into Venice until past midnight (and without hotel reservations in mid-July). Those were the days of me being young and able to rough it.

Our trip from Venice back to Treviso was much less "eventful."

Julie,

The bus will take you to Piazzle Roma, the bus depot. From there you can catch a vapperto (water bus) to the closest stop to your hotel. The ride is about an hour and 15 minutes.

Thanks so much everyone. I've been so busy getting my Venice & Rome lodgings - finally got them - that I didn't get back here.

Really appreciate the help, Julie
