Venice Transportation

This is my first time in Venice and can anyone help regarding transportation from the airport to the Caledonia Hotel?

What are my options, if any?

From the hotel we're leaving on a cruise, can the hotel arrange transportation to the dock?

Thanks!

There's always the water taxi -- expensive (ca. $90-100), but incomparably memorable first view of the city.

Email the hotel re: possible shuttles; and there are regular routes from the airport to specific locations around the city -- which may not work all that well if you have a lot of luggage.

Hi d,

Are you coming into Treviso or Marco Polo?

We're flying into Marco Polo.

The bus is not very expensive and runs fairly frequently.

What you need to research is where your hotel is in comparison to where the bus drops you off. you need to know the route number. It truly can be confusing as vaporettos go both clockwise and anticlockwise.

I decided just to get the 24 hour pass as I was probably going to wnat to do too much the first day and I wouldn't have to keep buying tickets.

Here's another forum thread that might help you....
