Venice to Slovenia for a Day?

I forgot to say that we took the train from Venice to Trieste then the bus to Piran. I remember going out to wait for the bus and the ride (including the border stop to check passports), just not how long it took. My old Lonely Planet says that there were 6 buses FROM Piran to Trieste daily which matches your information from Trieste.

If you can't find info from the Slovenian point of view, try the Italian one, meaning you might be more likely to find timetables for buses into and out of Trieste Centrale.

Glad you liked the photos. It was a beautiful place.
